In order to make the best decisions possible regarding our severely impacted healthcare system-especially concerning healthcare for the uninsured, the LRA Fund enlisted the help of PricewaterhouseCoopers (www.pwc.com).  The firm produced a health care reform report that was accepted by the Louisiana Recovery Authority and could become a foundation for pivotal changes in the state's health care system. 

In late July, U.S. Secretary of Health and Human Services Michael Leavitt wrote an opinion piece for The Hill newspaper based on key recommendations in the PricewaterhouseCoopers report. Read his favorable opinion of the report at this link.
